On May 16th the LA Forum will celebrate its first 20 years and will honor architects Hank Koning and Julie Eizenberg at ForumFest V, our annual benefit honoring individuals dedicated to promoting the cause of architecture and urban design. The evening provides an opportunity for those of us passionate about design to recognize the growing place of architecture and design in our city. The event will be held on the rooftop of the stunning, Koning+Eizenberg-designed downtown Standard Hotel with music provided by KCRW’s Tom Schnabel, hors d’oeuvres and drinks served against the backdrop of the Los Angeles skyline.

Sounds like a great cause (not to mention fun)! For too long LA has worn the mantle of world largest mini-mall. I am happy to support any efforts that deepen the discourse and understanding around LA's architecture ecology.
