Okay, I am trying to start an online community here. I can't personally afford to make the resources known, but I will put 100% of the donations to trying.
My goal is to start a safe community for moms and kids on the spectrum to chat. Kind of myspace like, but much more friendly to the cause!

Ever feel like a mom who has landed on the wrong planet?
I am the mom to an eleven year old aspie kiddo. Welcome home! You're not alone!
I think my son is the smartest, wittiest, most innovative kid ever. However, some of his peers and moms of his peers think he thinks a little too "out of the box" for their taste. I wouldn't have him any other way.
I'm not a perfect SUPERMOM but I do what works for us. I have many more questions about Aspergers/Autism spectrum than answers. I am certainly not a typical soccer mom type. I am not opposed to it, but I've yet to get that rhythm in my stride.
I love acting, yoga, quirky things, disco music, learning about spirituality and I'm a reality TV junkie. I'm a teacher by profession, but mostly full time juggling a lot of loose ends at this stage of the game. Okay, maybe I'm a little on the ADD side myself :-) By all means, if you are a PERFECT SUPERMOM - please hop on board. If you're not... you've finally found the right place.
This board is a place where moms of children on the Autism Spectrum can come together to share everything. Everyone deals with things differently (which is kind of why I came up with the whole rainbow thing, but I'll share more on that later.) Rainbow Mum is a safe place to come and know you're welcome and you're in a judgment free zone.
Hugs, creativity, and laughs are welcome. Rudeness and putting other moms down - most definitely not welcome. Other than that, just like our kids have shown us, there are few "norms" to follow.
No Followup messages have been posted for this campaign yet.
