Jonathan Henry is the Writer and Director of this 30 min. Fantasy/Musical Thesis Film. The film will premier at the 2009 Dusty Film Festival and will be sent to film festivals around the world. All donations will be credited in the final credits.

The existence of the individual, the society, the spirit, the earth, the universe, and the countless others in between are constantly balancing and clashing with one another, forcing us to only ponder our purpose. What is logical? What is irrational? What is meant to be? All of these questions eventually lead us to the overall uncertainty of what must be done with our time here. Art is a tool that we will use in the hope of exploring the harmony between what we are given and what we will create.

Entering into a bleak futuristic New York City, A Machine Beloved follows Oliver and Toby in their final night before surrendering themselves to a pseudoscientific experiment. Toby will travel into Oliver’s soul through ways of a machine and all will soon realize how powerful the relationship between the individual and the universe can be while rhythm, movement, art, and the spoken word all collide into a new form of narrative.
