* The raffle begins September 17 and ends September 21 2007
* We'll randomly select a winner. Literally, we're putting all the email addresses in a hat and picking one. We'll make a video for YouTube. Stupid, but funny.

About the iPod
Not only is it a brand new 8gb iPod Nano, it's a (PRODUCT) RED Nano. That means Apple gives a portion of the purchase price to the Global Fund to fight AIDS in Africa. Sure we wish they'd give the whole thing, but this is a step in the right direction. And it's red...which is almost as cool as yellow.
The new iPod Nano retails for $199.00 and this is your chance to own one for $1.00.
Find out more about the new iPod Nano here. Find out more about (PRODUCT) RED iPods here.
It's customized!
The back of this iPod Nano is laser engraved with a special message from The Amazing Project:
Why are you raffling this iPod?
The Amazing Project needs start up cash! We have a brand new iPod Nano (you know, the ones that play video). It's sealed in the box, and we know we can use its super-fun appeal to raise money for our cause.
What is The Amazing Project?
Awesome Answer:
The Amazing Project highlights worthwhile projects from amazing people doing amazing things to improve the world and connects them to volunteers (like you).
Super-Awesome Answer:
The Amazing Project is a New York State non-profit corporation (approval pending). Our goal is to foster a culture of hope by sharing the stories of people who are making a positive impact in the world and connecting potential volunteers and participants with accessible ways to get involved. We will share these stories through a robust website, regular email newsletter, special online projects, public exhibitions, printed publishing projects, and events.
We aim to help amazing people succeed.
Why does The Amazing Project need my help?
The Amazing Project is completely boot-strapped and self-funded. We're doing this because we want to help amazing people share their amazing stories of hope, resilience, and ingenuity. Those are the stories that can motivate us all to take steps, both large and small, to influence the world in positive ways.
We've just filed our non-profit incorporation papers with the State of New York and we're busy readying our site for launch. Legal fees, start-up costs, office expenses, and hosting fees are just some of the small hurdles we need to overcome as The Amazing Project takes off. Raffles like this one are a fun way to generate interest and funds that help make The Amazing Project a reality.
Don't need an iPod, but want to help?
You rock! We're looking for volunteer editors to help us compile and refine content for our initial web launch, administer our email, help with online promotion, and more.
Know an amazing person who is making a different in their community? Please, let us know! You can email Randy (our founder) directly at:
randy (at) amazingproject.org if you'd like to get involved.
Here you can sign-up for a newsletter where you'll find out about the launch of the site and future raffles like this one.
