http://www.pledgie.com/campaigns/364 <p><img src="http://www.monroecountyemcomm.org/images/stories/ares.gif" align="left">Monroe County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES)® is an amateur radio public service organization based in Monroe County, New York, and is open to all licensed amateur radio operators. </p><p> We are a program of the American Radio Relay League (ARRL), the national membership association for amateur radio operators in the United States. </p><p> We participate in training and emergency exercises so that we can serve other agencies during times of communication failure. Although the primary purpose of ARES is to provide emergency communication, ARES members also routinely provide non-business communications support to other public events. </p><p> Monroe County ARES is becoming a 501(c)(3) non profit corporation, and we need your help! We have obtained pro-bono counsel from Nixon Peabody, LLP, however we need to raise money to help cover the actual cost of filing for non profit status with the State and the IRS. </p><p> We appreciate your contribution! en-us
