No scam, no sob story. Maybe I have no right to ask, but I really need a second chance to right my financial life. I'm just your average, over-educated, underemployed, single mom, scout leader, struggling with student loans, car payment, rent, daycare, clothing, groceries, school supplies, etc., etc.

My daughter is 6, smart, funny, and all the joy in my life. Her dad is a good guy with a lot of problems, including a lot of creditors; hard to squeeze a nickel out of him. As a state employee, my salary hardly covers my licensing fees and student loan payments (they are very close to default). I pay more in rent than most people pay in house payments, but my credit is too poor to qualify for any kind of home loan, and I fear I've dug myself into such a hole that I'll never have my feet sufficiently under me for my daughter to be able to lean on me, let alone leave her anything more than the memories of how I tried. For now, my struggle to keep up with the bills means we can't afford dance classes and summer vacations, but soon it will be school trips, her first car, college, .... I've set a terrible example for her so far, and I want to change that. I just need help to start from level ground. I'd love to get a second job, but my current job requires a lot of work-at-home time just to keep up, and my daughter gets the rest.

If everyone who reads this could just give $1 or $5 (or even just good advice and prayers), you could get us out of the hole and on the path with everyone else who is doing their best to make a better life for themselves, their families, and others in need.
