My wife was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder and Shizo-affective Disorder.

Over the last 6 years, she has been admitted for treatment (medication and therapy) 7 times.

We are currently still paying off a 14.000 bill from the hospital.

I am launching a campaign to collect the money to pay of this debt.

We have gotten rid of all our credit cards, and are currently on a debt reduction program ( 2.5 years out of 5 yrs)

Last year, I had 2 jobs, so the FICA amounts were overpaid, and i was expecting a refund. One of the hospitals however had put a lien on the state tax refunds, and we lost our tax refund before we even received it.

My Job requires me to travel extensively, and when my spouse has a episode, I usually have to return back home, leaving my employer in the dark of when I can return.

During my work, (usually mon -thur) my wife takes care of the kids. However, when she is in the hospital, there is no-one to take care of them. The only choice for me is then to head home, and take care of the kids, while trying to do my job from home remotely.

Most employers understand that there is a family urgency, but when this occurs multiple time, it is hard to explain, or to justify each time...

I have lost several jobs this way..
