http://www.pledgie.com/campaigns/494 Do you ever think "Gosh, my student loan (or fill in the blank)i AM IN NEED OF HELP.the stress of it all is getting to me.Okay, a little bit about me: I accumulated $80,000+ in student loans after obtaining my 4-year undergraduate Bachelor\'s Degree in Psychology and my 3-year Master\'s Degree in Community Counseling. I have this wonderful education but unfortunately, I didn\'t go into a field that pays well at all. I started off in the mental health field and only ever made in the $20\'s the entire time I was employed as a counselor. I then left that field to work in the field of Higher Education as an Academic Advisor where I have made just a little more (in the $30\'s). Because I have made such little income, I have had to continually put my loans in forbearance (once I used up all of my deferrment options). Well, in forbearance, they continue to accumulate interest, so now my student loan balance is $119,765.62. This student loan debt is like a dark cloud that continues to follow me. I used to try not to get so stressed out about it because I thought that I would get married, get paid better, etc. and then be able to handle the debt, but none of these things have happened for me. Now, I find myself 30 years old and still watching my student loan balance go up instead of down. Unless I win the lottery, I\'m never going to have a large income and this student loan debt is really holding me back from things such as being able to secure a fixed mortgage.
