Here is my story. My husband and I started dating 12 years ago next month. During our first couple years of dating we would drive by this house and both admired it so very much. We never thought it would be for sale as it had been in one family for 250 years. We continued on and bought our first home got married and had our Daughter. One night as I was up feeding her, I put on the real estate channel and there was the HOUSE!! I couldn't believe it, it was for sale and we had to have it. We immedietly went to look at it and made an offer. We were so happy we were married on the 28th , Our daughter was born on the 28th and the house number was 28. Our son who was 7 at the time had a picture in his room with a barn and a boy in the field, we got him that picture when he was so little and said one day he would have his barn. Well this picture had the identical barn as this home!! Okay, So we left our offer on the house and we didn't get it. Another offer came in and we were beat out because he did not have to sell his home to close on it. We were so heart broken. We couldn't understand why a house that was so meant to be, was not happening. We moved on, I had to stop driving by the house because it hurt too much. 2 years had gone by and we started our own business and were doing well. We were so busy with our business I had to go to the laundry mat just so I could get 8 loads of laundry done in a few hours. While I was at the laundry mat I was reading the paper while everything was drying. In the paper 2 years later here was the HOUSE again. I couldn't believe it. It was 200K MORE than the first time it was for sale but I didn't care, I had to see it again. We looked at the home and met the owner who outbid us the first time. Turned out he bought the house to re-sell. We decided we would not make an offer until Atleast Two days time so we could think about it and know it is the right thing for us to do. As we were waiting these two days, someone came into our place of business to sell two old bibles. In these bibles was the Family history of our home from the year 1808. These Bibles Were in the House!! Years and Years Ago. We cried with joy as we knew this house was meant to be. We had no trouble after that and we were in our home within 6 months. We love our home and have been trying to continue improving it. The PROBLEM: The home is in an Industrial Zone and they are getting ready to break ground on a 600K square foot Industrial Warehouse right in Immediate view of my swimming pool and back yard. Our peace and tranquil setting is going to be gone. I don't know what to do, I keep thinking something will come through and preserve these beautiful rolling acres. The lot is Approx. 20 acres that we want to save. The price tag is 2 Million Dollars. They have no buyers for it as of now and they are going to Build the Warehouse Anyway Even though there is no buyers. I have to stop it. If I get this property I will have it added back to the original home and leave it undeveloped and back to Agricultural Use. PLEASE HELP if you Can!! I truly believe there is a reason I found this website out of nowhere. I will make a differance any way I can.
