Alexandria House is a great charity in LA that provides transitional housing and services to women/children that are trying to move out of shelters and into their own apt.
Alexandria House is making a real difference - LA has a huge homeless problem (see the stats on their site: "there are an estimated 91,000 people homeless each night in Los Angeles County")!! Worthy cause - especially if you live in the LA area and want to donate to a local non-profit.
